At Wild Indie Hair Lounge, growth doesn’t stop once you graduate beauty school—it truly begins when you step into our salon. Education and mentorship are pillars of our culture, and there’s no better example of that than the relationship between our Lead Stylist & Educator Lindsay, and one of our rising talents, Jackie.
This duo embodies everything we believe in: passion, excellence, and community.

Meet Lindsay: Lead Stylist, Educator, and Inspiration
After two decades in the industry, Lindsay brings more than just expertise—she brings heart. A midwestern native who traded in the flatlands for Colorado sunshine, Lindsay has built her career around a deep love for helping women feel confident and beautiful.
“There’s nothing more fulfilling to me than helping people achieve their hair dreams, no matter how challenging they may seem,” she says.
That passion expanded in 2019 when she discovered Natural Beaded Rows® (NBR) extensions. It became clear that this method wasn’t just another trend—it was a tool that could truly transform her clients’ lives and hair. And she knew she wanted to share that with others.
As Wild Indie’s lead educator, Lindsay is known for her structure, her high standards, and her deep investment in her team’s success.
“Watching someone learn a skill, improve with practice, and then eventually excel is extremely rewarding,” she says.“I think people would be surprised to learn I have very high expectations. Being self-motivated and open to constructive criticism is essential in this industry.”
But it’s not just about technique. For Lindsay, education is how stylists stay relevant, inspired, and fulfilled in a fast-moving industry.
“The beauty industry is constantly changing. If you aren’t learning constantly in this business, you will get left behind.”

Jackie’s Journey (Lindsay's Mentee): Growth, Grit & Gratitude
When Jackie joined the Wild Indie team at just 18, she was already years into her hairstyling journey. She started cosmetology school at 15 and got her license at 17, but it wasn’t until she stepped into Wild Indie that things truly began to click.
“I’ve been at Wild Indie for a year now, and the most rewarding part of my training has been witnessing my own growth,” Jackie shares.“I’ve learned not just how to do things, but why we do them—and that understanding has changed everything for me.”
Under Lindsay’s mentorship, Jackie has flourished—not just in skill, but in confidence.
“Lindsay has been an incredible mentor. Her work ethic, organization, and attention to detail set the standard. She’s helped me build confidence, set boundaries, and always strive to be my best.”
Jackie’s transformation isn’t just visible in her before-and-afters. It’s in her voice, her presence, and her pride in her work.
“I’m surrounded by people who genuinely want to see me succeed. We set goals together, check in often, and lift each other up. We see each other as family, not competition.”
As a first-generation daughter of immigrant parents, Jackie sees education as a gift—and Wild Indie as the opportunity she didn’t know she needed.
“I didn’t just find a job here. I found a place where I feel seen, safe, valued, educated, and excited to show up every day. I would’ve started sooner if I could have.”

Why Mentorship Matters at Wild Indie
Lindsay and Jackie’s story is just one example of what’s possible when education is prioritized, and mentorship is done right.
“I’ve always been a natural leader,” Lindsay says. “I thrive off watching others reach their goals or nail something new they’ve been wanting to try. I think doing my best encourages others to strive for the same.”
Jackie’s advice to anyone thinking about joining Wild Indie?
“Do it. You’ll be supported, guided, and celebrated. You’ll learn so much—not just about hair, but about yourself. It’s more than a salon—it’s a place that changes you.”
