I'm Missi Paris, CEO and the heart and soul behind Wild Indie Hair Lounge! I am an advocate for cultivating innovation, resilience, and success in the beauty industry.
Raised by an artist mother and a musician father, I was immersed in a world of creativity from a young age. My journey into entrepreneurship began at just 14, where I juggled school, sports, and the thrill of earning my own income.
Tragedy struck early in my life when I lost my mother at 18. This pivotal moment led me to choose beauty school over college, eager to dive into the working world. From there, I embarked on a journey of independence, working multiple jobs, and carving out my path as a stylist. Over the past 17 years, I've worn many hats – from working in diverse salon settings to traveling for top-tier education, gracing stage shows, growing teams and building assistant programs, and eventually launching and managing my own successful salon. But my journey hasn't been without its challenges. From navigating the complexities of opening my salon during my first pregnancy and a world pandemic to facing health struggles, including battles with thyroid cancer, and becoming the breadwinner for my family that allowed my husband to pursue a new career path.
I've learned the true meaning of resilience. Through it all, I've maintained a positive mindset and a creative approach to overcoming obstacles and building a life filled with joy, success, and fulfillment.
Driven by a deep passion to empower others in the beauty industry, I've honed my skills as a visionary leader and an advocate for balance and growth. I believe in the power of systems and processes to free up my time as a CEO, allowing me to focus on both my personal and professional development. I'm here to be a supportive sounding board for others facing challenges, offering tools and strategies to overcome obstacles and advocating for a career that allows women to thrive both at work and at home.
